May 2011

I found this unpublished blog post today that I wrote about 6 months ago and thought I should publish it. It discusses some of the things we did a year ago this month. Enjoy!

We are getting closer to being current with our backlog of pictures. We are now up to May of 2011.

May was a busy month. Paul turned 1, Nancy’s family came to visit, James got a trophy, and we went to an ice cream festival. Paul had a blast on his Birthday. His favorite gift was the balloon Papa Neil bought for him. This balloon was amazing. It stayed inflated for 3 months, no exaggeration. Nancy, the Grandparents and the boys all went to our local science museum, COSI, to play in their great big water table. Grandma and Papa made home made pasta and Papa help Ben install a chest freezer. We immediately had to fill it so we ran out and bought a 1/4 cow, yum!

We went to an ice cream festival at Velvet Creameries. We wrote a post on this outing a while back: Strawberries, Ice Cream & Soccer Trophies. James’ soccer season came to an end as well. He loves getting trophies but is not big on sharing them.

Enjoy the pictures!

Dr. Dinan

Ben successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis yesterday and will be awarded his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Materials Science and Engineering on June 10th, 2012. Final changes are being made to his doctoral thesis but when complete it will be available for reading if you are interested.

We do not yet know what the next step is for our family. The job search is still underway so we hope to know soon where our next adventure will be. Additionally, there is a possibility we may stay in Columbus a bit longer to allow Nancy to finish her degree on campus.

We thank you all for your love and support over the last few years. With out it, our time away would have been much more difficult.
